Jessie Ferguson, born and raised in Houston, Texas, began her dance training at Move Dance and Fitness under the direction of Mallorie Marion. In 2020, Jessie graduated as a dance major from Kinder High School for Performing and Visual Arts under the direction of Janie Carothers and Courtney D. Jones. Jessie is currently a senior pursuing her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the George Mason School of Dance under the direction of Karen Reedy. Throughout her years, she has performed works by Sidra Bell, Amy Miller, Gage Self, Courtney D. Jones, Peter Chu, among others.

Choreographically, Jessie has taken advantage of every possibility to create on her peers and has continued developing her choreographic voice. In 2022, Jessie was also selected for the Aimed Dance Emerging Choreographer Fellowship during the Young Artists Program, where she created a work entitled “Telephone”. Most recently, Jessie was selected to present her work, “When the Owl Came to Me”, at the 2023 Barnstorm Dance Fest in Houston, TX. With a passion for choreography, dancing, and photography, she is the founder of Jessie Ferguson Dance, a personal dance choreography and dance photography brand with the goal of inspiring artistry in all dancers.
